Long ago, each of the major races of Eluaria were sundered into their own individual factions by the work of four powerful blood mages. These powerful beings divided the world into four kingdoms(Within the Land of Royals) and ruled over even the kings and queens of the lands, and they worked to promote hatred and distrust between the races, ensuring that interracial mixing was strictly forbidden throughout the lands. The different species were ranked according to the worth that the blood mages held for each, who valued strength, deceit, and cunning high in value. Elves were viewed upon as nearly worthless, and humans even less, where favor was bestowed upon orcs, dwarves, and giantkin. With the races of Eluaria pitted against one another, the blood mages reigned supreme over the realms. Lecheries of every conceivable kind were encouraged and promoted within their kingdoms: slavery and forced death matches were commonplace, and warring between the factions was unchecked.

It took the work of a secret coalition of brave scholars, recruiting members from amongst all the races to join them to bring the tyranny of the blood mages to an end. Working in harmony for the first time across the racial divides imposed upon them, they gathered in a magic place in the southern kingdom called Sihirisium. There they began an ages-long battle uniting the members of the different races to the cause of fighting the blood mages who had so cruelly ruled over the kingdoms for so long, and finally exposed them for the evil creatures that they were. Most of the kingdoms rebelled and threw off the shackles of the blood mages that had been in place for far too long; only the kingdom of the west remained loyal to the ways of the blood mages, and even that realm lacked true loyalty as it was full of treachery and deceit in many forms.

After many bloody battles, the three kingdoms were free, but much worked remained. Ages of distrust built up from the races being pitted one against the other would not be so easily overcome, but under the counsel of the selfless scholars of Sihirisium guiding the newly freed kingdoms, a new age of freedom and acceptance between the races had begun. It was only in dark rumors that it was said that one or more of the blood mages still existed, sheltered and hidden away somewhere in the Western Kingdoms, and that they bided their time, waiting for the chance to return to their former positions of power.
