Players find themselves in the large city of Neverwinter, a major gathering point for adventurers from all over. The Chasm that has created such destruction in Neverwinter was sealed in 1485 DR. Peace has ensued and all of the Sword Coast has prospered in the last 140 years. The local entrepreneurs and craftsmen of present day Neverwinter 1625 DR had nearly forgotten about the horrendous history that has scarred their lands. Alas, that same land is groaning again. Strange events are starting to spread over the landscape, testing one's faith and making legendary beasts restless.

Heroes are needed! The bounty board is bursting with pleas of help varying in severity. The local storekeepers request help to solve less serious everyday interruptions. Local Authorities, government and even King Neverember IV are in need of a heavier hand to carry out sentences and to protect the people. At this rate, it will only be a matter of time until a Hero won't cut it any more... Only a LEGEND will be able to bring the lands to peace once more!
