Imagine a world where after WW2, the monarchies of Germany and Austria rose to power once again, and along with fascist Italy, formed an alliance that rebuilt the former imperial nature of Europe.

In this world, Italy gains their imperial ambitions in WW2 and then some, and the kaiser returns to Germany instead of the nazis rising to power, and in Austria the Hapsburgs reunite most of their empire as the Danubian Federation. Italy then restores its absolute monarchy, creating a major colonial empire and forming their commonwealth with their newfound protectorates in the east.
