β°ββ€ about seventy years ago, an occurrence nicknamed βthe first lightβ had happened above the skies of Liyue Harbor. a supercharged event had occurred, some just thought it was a meteor shower at first, hurling full speed into the grounds before it scattered into a blinding light that had left chunks and chunks of a crystal material called GENESIS. not much is really known about GENESIS.
it has no links to previously existing materials or elements. after its discovery a couple of weeks after the first light, GENESIS was initially known as a substance that provides energy. It was first utilized by Snezhnaya about two years after the first light. within ten years, they were able to fully revolutionize energy and support the whole northern nation with power, heating and energy.
begin the years of the GENESIS revolution. slowly, one by one the nations had started using their supplies of GENESIS as well, completely revolutionizing life into a fully digitized future. the economy was on the rise, and locations such as old Mondstadt, who refused to associate with GENESIS simply fell behind in the grand scheme of the world, staying the only location without the use of GENESIS. nowadays itβs mostly a crime-den. while Snezhnaya was the first nation to revolutionize GENESIS, it wasnβt the most successful one.
