1,000 years ago, mankind opened a gate to a being of unfathomable power: God. This being’s dimension leaked into our own, resulting in mana flooding the earth. This had 3 effects. The first is that humans gained the ability to cast magic. Second, mana flooded the bodies of some animals, giving them human levels of intellect and enhanced mass, along with unique bloodline abilities. The third is that gaping holes in reality opened deep underground, creating vast, cavernous worlds in which monsters would propagate and siege humanity.

In face of this threat, Magnus Aevitas, the legendary First King, formed a Kingdom to unite humanity with the help of 5 people, who later became the first Archdukes. The current day uses the nobility system to reward an individual based on their contribution to humanity’s prosperity, granting land, power, and titles in exchange for their services.

Later on, humanity would gain the notice of the magical Beasts, and the first Magus, the First King, would make a deal with the ruler of the magical Beasts called The Absolute.

The deal was as follows: In exchange for the people of Aevitas continuing to fight the Pits and respecting the territories of the Beasts, the magical Beasts would send members of their own kind to assist in humanity's efforts.

In recent years, however, people have begun to gain ground. Progress has started to occur. However, the creatures of the Pits have begun to adapt just as fast.

And so the task falls onto you, the newest generation, to be the ones who make the final push towards securing humanity's future.
