Method of Entry is a game that balances realistic mechanics and features with a competitive nature. This explicit distinction is critical for one to understand our vision and see things the way we do. We call this theory the "C.F.R.F" theory, or "Competitive First, Realism Follows", which is a policy we follow when deciding game mechanics and designs.
In addition to the "C.F.R.F" nature of the game, we've also made sure to keep the game within the 'light-weight' category for playability and general feeling. This means no crazy hero abilities, no arcade shooter killstreak like mechanics or unrealistic environments but pure 'Special Forces' or 'Counter-Terrorist' combat that takes raw skill to play. Understand that the game has roots that run deep, pulling ideas from the original SWAT series, the original Rainbow 6 series, classic Counter-Strike and even some more modern competitive titles like Tarkov and R6 Siege.
These are our beliefs, our rules of design and this is what we believe the competitive community has been starving for. A light-weight, 5v5, tactical shooter with a competitive first mindset. Then we layer that sweet realism on top with things like gun mechanics, movement, environments, hit registration and pure grit. Though, this layering is limited to the core competitive mechanics which we believe will provide a natural stabilizing effect.
